Greetings and Happy New Year!

On behalf of the amazing members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Gamma Alpha Omega Chapter, welcome to our website. I have the distinct honor of serving as the 30th president of our illustrious chapter.

We are a group of college-educated professional women actively engaged in providing service to the Jackson Tennessee community. Our membership has grown over the past fifteen years to over 200 members. We have the strength of sisterhood as we strive to live up to Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission to be of “Service to All Mankind”.

Under the leadership of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s International President and CEO, Dr. Glenda Baskins Glover, we have enthusiastically joined hands with our community partners in Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. This International Program includes five targets:

Target 1: HBCU for Life: A Call to Action

Target 2: Women’s Healthcare and Wellness

Target 3: Building Your Economic Legacy

Target 4: The Arts!

Target 5: Global Impact

Through our signature program, #CAP SM, which stands for College Admissions Process, we provide support and guidance to high school juniors and seniors in their efforts to enter college. And we continue to leverage our Community Impact Days to engage in simultaneous activities that will benefit the community and continue our commitment to lifelong service.

This year, as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® celebrates 114 years of Service to All

Mankind, Gamma Alpha Omega will celebrate 83 years. We are proud of our legacy of service

to the residents of the Jackson Tennessee area.
