Greetings and Happy New Year!

On behalf of the amazing members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Gamma Alpha Omega Chapter, welcome to our website. I have the distinct honor of serving as the 30th president of our illustrious chapter.

​

We are a group of college-educated professional women actively engaged in providing service to the Jackson Tennessee community. Our membership has grown over the past fifteen years to over 200 members. As POWERful Pearls United in Purpose, we have the strength of sisterhood as we strive to live up to Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission to be of “Service to All Mankind”.

Under the leadership of Danette Anthony Reed, International President & CEO of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, we are working to accelerate the initiatives in support of the theme, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood. Strengthen Our Sisterhood will serve as the administration’s “Foundation Initiative” as we strengthen our bonds to support our service mission.

 

Gamma Alpha Omega chapter continues to implement life-enhancing service projects to advance the International Program, which includes five program initiatives:

• Build Our Economic Wealth

• Enhance Our Environment

•  Advocate for Social Justice

• Uplift Our Local Community​

 

We will support and collaborate with our community partners to make an even greater impact on the Jackson, Tennessee area.

 

This year, as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® celebrates 115 years of Service to All Mankind, the Gamma Alpha Omega chapter will celebrate 84 years. We are proud of our legacy of service to the residents of the Jackson Tennessee area.
